This website was made to recognise the potential of VR technology within education as well as in other areas. Within the site we explain VR in depth, giving examples of how and where this technology is being used, expanding on this looking more extensively at VR being utilised within the classroom. Discussing Assistive Technology and how it benefits people, relating this to VR technology by reviewing an article that looks at how VR is used in hospitals to distract patients undergoing burn wound care and how it effectively reduces pain felt during treatment. Weighing up the pros and cons of VR technology in our second website review. Then reviewing two pieces of tech; Google Cardboard and Kingspray Graffiti Simulator, suggesting how these could potentially be incorporated into schools to advance the teaching of such subject areas as English, Geography, PSHE and Art. As well as addressing Ethics and Safety of using this technology. We decided to focus explicitly on VR technology because it is a brand new technology that we felt was being under used within the education system, we aimed to enlighten others interested in the potential of VR and its application in the classroom but also recognise how else it is being used beyond merely the classroom setting.
